When was the last time you read something you wrote over 10 years ago?
I got a DM from a childhood buddy today that led me to scroll through messages we'd swapped back in 2011 as new moms. I cringed and I laughed (and I share why in this message).
How has your voice, your humor, your perspective on life transformed over the past decade plus? What has stayed the same?
In what ways have you grown and changed on a human level? (I'm talking changes not detectable on bank statements or camera roll strolls.)
What did you think / do / say then that may make you cringe a bit now?
Seriously I wanna know; tell me in the comment box.
Were you goofier? More serious? I cared a lot more about typos than I remember. And some of my language gives me a toothache.
Whatever your transformation may have been - however slight or extreme - I hope this micro treasure hunt helps you feel inspired to share more of who you are right NOW.
Your voice matters and resonates deeply with others who want and need to hear it today - however deep, squeaky, or smooth it may be.
